Radio Content

My experience

I currently produce a range of radio programmes for Shoreditch Radio, which air daily. Alongside this, I read weekly news bulletins during Thursday Drivetime and cover additional freelance shifts for Riverside Radio. In these roles, I produce original content and regularly deliver live two-ways, both from the studio and on location, reporting on stories as they unfold.

During my time at City of London, I gained extensive experience producing content for a live 30-minute programme. As Programme Editor, I was responsible for creating and structuring the full rundown, managing the production team, and overseeing key technical elements to ensure the broadcast ran smoothly. This included organising and conducting live two-ways on location as well as in the studio. I have also presented the programme, developing strong on-air confidence, clarity and editorial judgement in a live broadcasting environment.

The Busketeer Choirs

CUE:  Now we will soon be seeing choirs busking on the streets of London. The Buskerteers operate in more than forty cities across the UK raising money for charity as they go. Now for the first time they are coming to the capital and they are starting off with a flashmob.

Our reporter Holly Jo Fitzpatrick went along to their rehearsals to hear how they are sounding.

Network Rail’s New Clocks

CUE: New clocks at four of London’s busiest railway stations are about more than just telling the time. According to TV travel historian Tim Dunn, they symbolise a fresh start for Britain’s railways.

But not everyone is convinced. Some commuters say the money would have been better spent on improving train services instead.

Our reporter Holly Jo Fitzpatrick reports.

Live Two-Way

Live two-way report from the Southbank Centre on the day the building was awarded Grade II listed status. Reporting from the scene, I explored the cultural and historical significance of the decision, speaking to a former dancer who had performed there about its personal impact, as well as Olly Marsh, Campaign Director at the The Twentieth Century Society, about the wider importance of protecting modern heritage.
