During my time at City of London, I gained experience producing packages for a live 30-minute news programme under tight turnaround deadlines. I regularly worked to same-day briefs, ensuring scripts, audio and edits were broadcast-ready within limited timeframes. This experience has taught me the value of collaboration, adaptability and clear communication in producing live news.

Alongside this, I managed the technical desk during live broadcasts, overseeing studio operations to ensure the programme ran smoothly. I also produced packages for other reporters and contributed to live, on-the-day content, including coordinating and conducting live interviews during the show. In addition, I presented the sport segment, developing confidence and clarity in a fast-paced live news environment.

London’s annual Repair Week featured over 130 events across the capital. I visited Tooting Repair Club, which opens its doors weekly for Londoners to bring everyday items to be repaired rather than thrown away. I went along to find out why this movement is growing in popularity.

On 3 November 2025, a nationwide campaign led by SEND Sanction saw families place children’s shoes outside council offices across England in a powerful call for change.

I went to Hackney to report on how the local council is responding to the needs of families in the borough and what support is currently being offered to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

An unused NHS building has been transformed into a therapeutic gym using boxing to help people build confidence and manage their mental health. But while some welcome the intuitive by Off the Ropes Charity others are keen to stress that it should compliment not replace traditional talking therapy.
